Course Programme 2009/ 2010: Foundation course in dental implants - This course is now in its 8th year, with over 60 delegates now placing and restoring implants in their own practices. This is a unique course for the UK, unlike other implant courses we do not commit you to investing in 12 or 18 months, but allow you to proceed at a pace which suits you. Choose module one for restorative only or module one and two if wishing to place your own implants. We have six regular course presenters with a combined implant experience of over 150yrs utilizing North American and European treatment philosophies. Round Table peer-review evenings - once a month we open our weekly peer review meeting to referring practitioners. This is an ideal forum in which to bring along and discuss cases which may have been causing you problems. He is currently clinical director of the Branemark clinic in Sweden. It is through Dr Coli and his links with the Branemark clinic that we have been able to arrange what will be a fascinating day based on the research outcomes at the Branemark clinic over the last 30yrs. Restoration of simple implant cases - We are currently assembling a series of evening presentations with the goal of introducing implant treatment to local practices. At the end of these presentations you will be in a position to refer patients for implant placement surgery and carry out the restorative stages of treatment yourself. If you are interested in attending these evening presentations please call the practice.
Mentoring - For all clinicians attending our courses the prosthodontists are happy to offer a mentoring service. Currently this is most effective by e-mail where you send us your formative treatment plan and any radiographs with the questions you are seeking answers to. We aim to respond to these within two working days. Optionally attending one of our round table evenings is an excellent opportunity to gain the collective ideas of all the specialists.
